Indian  Weavers
I .Answer  the  following  questions.
1.  What  are  the  weavers  weaving  at  dawn?
Ans .The weavers are weaving a blue garment for a new born child at dawn.

2.  Describe  the  garments that  the  weavers weave  at  fall of night.
Ans.   The weavers weave a bright and colourful garment like the plumes of a peacock in the evening. They weave the marriage veil of a queen.

3.   Why  are  the  weavers  so  serious  at  moonlight?
Ans.  The weavers are serious at night for they weave the shroud of a dead man.

4.Write  about  the  mood of  the  weavers  from dawn  till  dusk. Does   this  have  anything to  do  with  the  garments  they  are weaving?
Ans. The weavers are happy at dawn, their mood is energetic and enthusiastic but at night they become calm and serious.

5.What  message  is  conveyed  in  the  poem?
Ans.The weavers labour continuously from morning till night and their attitude affects the kind of work they produce. The poet has linked the stages of man’s life with the garments the weavers weave at different times of the day.  

6.   When do the weavers weave clothes for new-born child? (H  W)

7.   Which colour do the weavers choose to weave robes for a new-born child? (H  W  )
