1) Why did John and Ace decide to buy Christian?
Ans: John and Ace decided to buy Christian, the cub
because it looked lonely and frightened and the two men
did not want to leave the little animal out there in that
unfriendly place.
2) How did Ace and John look after Christian?
Ans: The two men brought him in a loving and caring home.
 They took him to the garden for exercise every afternoon.
3) Why did the two friends decide to send Christian to
Kenya?
Ans: The two men decided to send Christian to Kenya
because he was growing up fast and getting too big for the
flat. He was also beginning to scare people. It was
dangerous to keep a growing lion in a city.

 4) How do you know that Christian did not forget his
friends?

Ans: When Christian saw Ace and John in Kenya, he looked
at them closely and then came bounding towards them. He
hugged and leapt into their arms, full of love and joy. This
shows that Christian did not forget his friends.
5)What does this story teach you?
Ans:  The story teaches us to love, protect and respect
animals.
